Dubai Municipality has unveiled "Saeed," its first AI-powered virtual spokesperson, marking a regional first in smart government communication and reinforcing the emirate's standing as a global hub for digital innovation.

Designed with Emirati features and dressed in official national attire, Saeed will serve as the Municipality's official digital face, delivering news, services, achievements and project updates across a range of public platforms. His name, which carries connotations of happiness and optimism, reflects Dubai's broader commitment to building more human-centred government experiences.

Saeed communicates primarily in Arabic but is capable of switching between multiple languages including English, Urdu and Chinese, allowing the Municipality to reach citizens, residents and visitors more effectively. His tone adapts to suit the nature of each message, from formal announcements to community awareness campaigns.

All content delivered by Saeed will draw from official Dubai Municipality data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across digital channels. He is designed for deployment across social media platforms, press conferences, awareness videos, the Municipality's official website and community events.

Beyond public-facing communication, Saeed will also support internal operations, engaging employees through motivational content, internal updates, opinion polls and simplified procedural guidance.

Seyed Ismail Al Hashimi, Acting CEO of the Corporate Support Services Sector at Dubai Municipality, described the initiative as an integrated communication platform that strengthens message consistency and raises the efficiency of public engagement. He noted that Saeed would soon be integrated into the "Hayakom" customer service centres to handle enquiries across Municipality services.

The launch positions Dubai Municipality at the forefront of AI-driven government communication in the region and aligns with Dubai's wider vision for a smarter, more responsive and sustainable city.
