The global woodworking industry's shift toward artificial intelligence, robotics and smart manufacturing will take centre stage at Dubai WoodShow 2026, as the sector moves rapidly away from labour-intensive operations toward data-driven production models.
The three-day exhibition runs from 22 to 24 June 2026 at Dubai World Trade Centre, drawing more than 12,000 industry professionals and exhibitors from over 60 countries. The event arrives at a pivotal moment for the sector, with the global woodworking machinery market forecast to reach USD 6.1 billion by 2027, driven by rising demand from construction, furniture and industrial markets.
This year's edition will feature a new generation of smart woodworking machinery, including automated cutting and processing systems, CNC equipment, AI-powered quality control tools and intelligent robotics capable of optimising workflows in real time. The showcase reflects a broader industry transition toward precision manufacturing and operational efficiency.
Advanced materials are also shaping the industry's trajectory. Engineered wood products, lightweight panels, innovative surface finishes and advanced fittings are gaining ground as manufacturers respond to market pressure for performance, flexibility and sustainability. The exhibition will present a comprehensive range of these materials alongside fittings, accessories and semi-finished components.
Walid Farghal, Director of Dubai WoodShow, said the industry is undergoing a fundamental transformation in which technology and material innovation have become essential to growth and competitiveness. He added that strong international participation this year reflects the event's growing role as a global hub connecting producers, suppliers and buyers across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
The exhibition positions Dubai as a leading centre for trade, technology and industrial development within the global wood manufacturing ecosystem.
