Dubai Unveils Over 25 Digital Projects at GITEX Africa 2024

Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori led a UAE delegation at GITEX Africa 2024's opening, attended by Morocco's Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transition.

Dubai's pavilion will showcase over 25 digital projects from 9 entities, emphasizing Dubai's leadership in enhancing digital city experiences.

During his speech, Al Mansoori said,

"The UAE's relations with Morocco have evolved and become increasingly prominent and entrenched over the years, it gives an example in the fraternal relationship based on sustainable cooperation and coordination in the common interest for both sides”.

“This event serves as a modern twin to GITEX Dubai, the global and prestigious event, helping Marrakesh to become Dubai’s twin in its aspiration for a bright human future based on harnessing the latest technologies to serve people everywhere."

Dubai’s participation at the 2nd GITEX Africa, which was kicked off today and runs until 31st May, gathers 9 government entities. At the Dubai Pavilion, services include "Invest in Dubai," Civil Defence initiatives, DEWA's Smart projects, Dubai Municipality's "Build in Dubai," DP World's smart services, Dubai Police's application and website, and Dubai Customs' 4th Generation Services.

The event will witness the participation of 130 countries and will work to enhance international exchanges and collaborations, enhancing its position and role to become a major platform for innovation and economic development in Africa.
