Dubai's private schools have achieved significant recognition in the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2022, conducted by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

In this triennial assessment focusing on real-life skills, Dubai secured noteworthy positions, ranking second globally in financial literacy and sixth in creative thinking.

Financial literacy, a new domain for Dubai in PISA, measures students' comprehension of financial concepts and their ability to navigate financial decisions effectively. Dubai's private school students excelled with a score of 522 points, surpassing the OECD average of 498 points. A substantial 82% of participants demonstrated proficiency in financial management, with 79% setting savings goals.

In creative thinking, where students' capacity to innovate and produce original solutions is evaluated, Dubai secured sixth place globally with 36 points, above the OECD average of 33 points. An impressive 84% of students performed at or above the OECD baseline, underscoring their confidence in generating creative ideas.

Aisha Miran, Director-General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, praised Dubai's educational prowess, emphasizing its alignment with the city's vision for future-ready education. She credited school leaders, teachers, and parents for nurturing students' talents and achieving these remarkable results.

Fatma Belrehif, CEO of the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau, highlighted the broader implications of these findings, noting their relevance in shaping educational policies and fostering holistic student development across various disciplines.

Dubai's performance in PISA 2022 further cements its status as a global education leader, demonstrating consistent excellence across mathematics, reading, and science. With scores surpassing global averages, Dubai's private schools continue to set benchmarks for educational quality and student achievement on an international scale.
