Dubai South Business Hub Free Zone (DSBH) has signed a strategic partnership with Sony Middle East and Africa, giving entrepreneurs, startups and SMEs in the free zone access to Sony's technology, expertise and educational programmes.
The agreement was formalised today at a ceremony held at Dubai South Headquarters, signed by Saif Al-Ali, Director of Licensing and Free Zone Management at DSBH, and Jobin Joejoe, Managing Director of Sony Middle East and Africa.
Under the partnership, DSBH businesses will gain preferential access to Sony's professional imaging and audio technology, alongside a series of workshops and masterclasses covering content creation, digital marketing, brand building and business growth. Sessions will be delivered by Sony specialists directly at the free zone.
The move extends DSBH's offering beyond core services such as company formation, licensing, visas and banking support, reflecting the free zone's aim of providing practical value that founders can apply to their businesses from day one.
Al-Ali said the partnership reinforced DSBH's commitment to building an environment where founders can access the tools and knowledge needed to grow, adding that working with partners who bring genuine expertise strengthens the wider entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Joejoe said Sony wanted to give founders not just access to its imaging solutions but the practical know-how to use them meaningfully, calling the collaboration a way to support the UAE's entrepreneurial community and help businesses translate ideas into sustainable growth.
The two organisations plan to collaborate on further events, community initiatives and educational programmes within the free zone, creating ongoing opportunities for founders to build new skills and apply them to their ventures.
