Dubai's Community Development Authority has signed a memorandum of understanding with Louis Vuitton, bringing one of the world's most recognised luxury brands into a formal partnership focused on career development for Emirati nationals and People of Determination.

The agreement opens pathways across retail, fashion and craftsmanship, with training covering specialised areas such as tailoring, repairs, inventory management and client communication. People of Determination will be supported through targeted training programmes, assistive technologies and tailored workplace accommodations designed to enable meaningful, long-term employment.

The partnership is also designed to advance women's empowerment and corporate social responsibility initiatives, with both parties committed to building sustainable career pathways rather than short-term placements.

Maitha Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the Community Empowerment Sector at the CDA, said the MoU reflects the authority's drive to equip Emiratis with practical skills aligned to real labour market demand, adding that collaboration with global brands reinforces Dubai's standing as a hub for integrated economic opportunity.

Louis Vuitton's Managing Director for the Middle East, Miguel Vargas, described the partnership as an extension of the Maison's belief that excellence is built through people, craft and community responsibility. He said the brand is investing in training and supported employment to help individuals build confidence, independence and lasting careers.

The MoU aligns with the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which places Emirati empowerment and economic participation at the centre of the emirate's development strategy.

For Louis Vuitton, the agreement marks a deepening of its long-term commitment to the Middle East, connecting its heritage of craftsmanship with the UAE's broader vision for a more inclusive and economically active society.
