Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority recorded a combined ridership of 8.2 million across its public transport and mobility network during the Eid Al-Adha holiday, spanning Monday, 25 May to Friday, 29 May 2026.
The figures highlight strong demand across all modes of transport during one of the year's busiest travel periods.
Dubai Metro's Red and Green Lines led the numbers, carrying 3.3 million riders over the five-day holiday. Public buses accounted for 1.73 million riders, while taxi services, covering Dubai Taxi and franchise company vehicles, transported 2.3 million passengers.
Marine transport services registered 304,300 riders, and Dubai Tram served 114,300 riders. Shared mobility services, including smart app vehicles, hourly rentals and Bus-On-Demand, collectively recorded 402,700 riders.
The data reflects the RTA's capacity to manage large-scale movement during peak holiday periods, with services spanning rail, road, water and shared mobility options across the emirate.
