Emirates Health Services (EHS) has achieved significant milestones in its efforts to streamline government services under the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme.
This initiative is designed to simplify procedures, enhance service efficiency, and strengthen the UAE's global competitiveness.
As part of this programme, EHS has introduced 60 streamlining operations, aimed at eliminating bureaucratic hurdles and optimizing healthcare delivery. These efforts are expected to save over 9 million workflow steps, reduce 1 million visits to service centers, and cut down over 900,000 paper documents. Notably, service access time has been reduced by 60%, resulting in savings of over AED 60 million and 80 million minutes for customers.
Dr. Yousif Mohammed Al Serkal, Director General of EHS, emphasized the organization's commitment to adopting global best practices, in alignment with the "We the UAE 2031" vision and UAE Centennial Plan 2071. He highlighted the importance of these initiatives in improving customer experiences and boosting national competitiveness.
Key projects include simplifying admission procedures, streamlining patient medication journeys, expanding telemedicine services, and launching preventive dental screenings for school students. Additionally, EHS has accelerated medical fitness tests for residence visas and university students and enhanced services for issuing birth and death certificates.
EHS continues to prioritize long-term improvements through regular performance evaluations, aiming to ensure sustainable results and further enhance the quality and flexibility of government healthcare services.
