Dubai is set to host the third edition of the Dubai Stem Cell Congress in 2025, organized by the First Stem Cell and Genomics Laboratory (FSG) with the support of the Dubai Health Authority.
The event will bring together 300-500 delegates, including medical doctors, oncologists, laboratory technologists, and specialists, alongside 25 international speakers and industry experts.
Under the theme “Bridging the Future”, the congress aims to foster collaboration, highlight cutting-edge advancements, and inspire innovation in the field of stem cell research and regenerative medicine. Dr. Fatma Al Hashimi, Chairperson of the Congress and Director of FSG, emphasized the significance of the event in connecting global scientists and researchers to share insights, showcase patient success stories, and discuss the latest breakthroughs.
A major highlight of this edition will be a joint session with the International Society for Cell and Gene Therapy (ISCT), reinforcing the role of stem cell and gene therapy in the future of healthcare. The event will also feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, workshops, and networking sessions to facilitate knowledge exchange and drive scientific progress.
Dr. Al Hashimi underscored the importance of raising awareness about FDA-approved stem cell therapies for diseases such as blood cancer, thalassemia, Fanconi anemia, and autoimmune disorders. She also pointed to ongoing clinical trials exploring stem cell treatments for autism, diabetes, and heart diseases.
Additionally, the congress will recognize young researchers, with 20 medical research posters showcased and the best research poster receiving an award. The event will also emphasize the significance of umbilical cord blood stem cells, which play a crucial role in treating 80 FDA-approved blood disorders.
The Dubai Stem Cell Congress 2025 promises to be a landmark event, offering a beacon of hope for patients and advancing the global conversation on regenerative medicine.
