Abdulla Mohamed Al Mazrui, Chairman of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UAE Chambers) and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highlighted the strong collaboration with the Oman Chamber, emphasising ongoing efforts to enhance exceptional and strategic relations.
This collaboration aims to facilitate the exchange of best practices and experiences for the mutual benefit of the people of both countries.
On the sidelines of the joint UAE-Oman Business Forum today in Abu Dhabi, that both parties are committed to further streamlining processes to overcome any obstacles that investors in the UAE and Oman might encounter in the future.
He remarked,
"Our relationship with Oman is exceptional due to our proximity as neighbours. Many Omani companies function almost as if they were Emirati, and likewise, we have a significant presence of Emirati merchants and companies in Oman, operating seamlessly like any other Omani entity."
Regarding the UAE-Oman Business Forum, Al Mazrui elaborated that numerous leaders of Emirati companies attending the event aim to usher in a new era in Oman by spearheading the establishment of high-impact projects in the Sultanate. He emphasised that Oman boasts an economically conducive investment environment primed to attract capital and foster business expansion for companies from both nations.
He highlighted that the UAE stands as the foremost investor in the Sultanate of Oman and ranks third globally. He underscored the pivotal role of the agreements inked on the sidelines of the forum in bolstering closer economic and strategic ties. These agreements encompass cooperation in renewable energy, aluminium, iron, and various projects within Oman's free zones. He emphasized that these initiatives will swiftly propel both nations toward significant achievements.
The Chairman of UAE Chambers highlighted the UAE's expertise across various economic sectors, infrastructure, and transportation. The forum presents a unique opportunity for Omani counterparts to leverage and transfer this expertise, emphasising Oman's incentives geared towards fostering comprehensive economic development.
