Expo City Dubai has been chosen as the host city for the prestigious 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit (2025APCS) & Mayors’ Forum, marking a historic first for the Middle East.

Scheduled from October 27 to 29, 2025, at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, this event represents a significant convergence of mayors, city leaders, and business figures dedicated to shaping the cities of tomorrow.

The decision follows competitive bidding from cities across the Asia Pacific region, highlighting Dubai's emergence as a pivotal hub connecting the Middle East, Africa, South Asia, and the wider Asia Pacific. Organized by Brisbane City Council in collaboration with Expo City Dubai and Expo Dubai Group, the summit aims to foster sustainable urban growth and investment opportunities amidst global challenges.

Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and CEO of Expo City Dubai Authority, expressed pride in Dubai's selection, emphasizing its strategic location near Al Maktoum International Airport and Dubai Exhibition Centre. She underscored Dubai’s role as a nexus for collaboration in sustainable development, drawing on insights from Expo 2020 Dubai and other global initiatives.

His Excellency Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary General of The Executive Council of Dubai, highlighted Dubai's commitment to smart infrastructure and effective climate action. He emphasized the summit's role in advancing urban resilience and economic growth, underscoring Expo City Dubai’s pivotal contribution.

The 2025APCS, with a legacy spanning 28 years and previous editions hosted in global cities like Seattle and Incheon, promises to catalyze innovative urban solutions.

Brisbane's Deputy Mayor Krista Adams celebrated Dubai as an ideal venue to expand the summit’s global impact, following the success of the 2023APCS in Brisbane, which showcased AUD 2.3 billion in city projects.

Building on Expo City Dubai’s momentum from hosting COP28 and other landmark events, the 2025APCS aims to propel sustainable urban development worldwide, reinforcing Dubai's status as a dynamic center for global dialogue and innovation.
