Dubai’s Financial Audit Authority has launched the fourth edition of its flagship Government Auditor diploma programme, reinforcing efforts to strengthen oversight, transparency, and financial accountability across government entities.
Delivered in collaboration with the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, the programme is designed to advance national talent by combining academic instruction with practical, on-the-job training within entities under the Authority’s supervision. It forms part of a broader strategy to elevate audit practices in line with Dubai’s governance priorities.
The initiative offers an intensive curriculum that integrates theoretical knowledge with real-world application. Participants receive structured support to pursue internationally recognised auditing certifications, while building the technical and professional competencies required to perform at a high level.
Abdulrahman Al Hareb, Director General of the Financial Audit Authority, said the programme plays a central role in strengthening financial discipline and ensuring efficient management of public resources. He noted that it reflects a proactive approach to developing talent through standardised methodologies that enhance compliance and improve the reliability of financial reporting.
Dr Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, described the programme as a strategic step toward building specialised government capabilities. He highlighted its role in improving operational efficiency and supporting Dubai’s broader commitment to global best practices in governance.
The partnership between the two institutions underscores a coordinated approach to preparing a new generation of auditors equipped to meet evolving public sector demands while supporting Dubai’s vision for a transparent and accountable government system.
