Dubai-based carrier flydubai will begin daily flights to Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok from 1 July 2026, marking its second destination in Thailand and reinforcing its growing presence in Southeast Asia.
The service will operate from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport, enhancing direct connectivity between Dubai and the Thai capital. The new route complements the airline’s existing operations to Krabi, while supporting broader regional expansion.
The Bangkok route will run as a codeshare with Emirates, allowing passengers to connect seamlessly through Dubai to an extensive global network. The move strengthens Dubai’s position as a key aviation hub linking Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
According to Chief Executive Officer Ghaith Al Ghaith, the launch reflects the airline’s strategy to expand travel options and deploy capacity in high-demand markets as global travel continues to recover. The route is also expected to support tourism and trade flows between the UAE and Thailand.
Sudhir Sreedharan, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations, said Bangkok remains a strong draw for both leisure and business travellers. He added that the daily service is timed to meet peak summer demand, with potential for increased frequency as passenger traffic builds.
The new service underscores flydubai’s role in connecting underserved markets while expanding its network across Southeast Asia, including destinations in Malaysia such as Langkawi and Penang.
