The General Civil Aviation Authority has launched the Flight Operations Centralised Unified System, known as F.O.C.U.S., a digital platform designed to simplify how air operators interact with aviation stakeholders across the UAE.
The new system provides a single gateway for securing operational approvals to UAE airports, connecting users with key entities and regulatory updates through one platform.
Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the GCAA, described the launch as a milestone in the authority’s digital transformation, aimed at integrating federal and local aviation bodies under one umbrella.
Assistant Director General for Aviation Safety Affairs Eng. Aqeel Al Zarouni said the system will cut processing times, ease compliance and enhance engagement with operators through a user-friendly interface.
The first phase of F.O.C.U.S. has already been rolled out, with future expansions planned to include more partnerships and advanced features. The initiative aligns with the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy drive and the GCAA’s goal of creating a fully digital aviation ecosystem.
