Dubai Residency has extended the registration period for the second edition of its Scientific Research Award, giving researchers and innovators more time to submit proposals aimed at shaping the future of residency services and government innovation.
The extension is designed to widen participation among those working on qualitative ideas and applied research, particularly projects that offer practical solutions with long-term impact. Organizers said the move reflects a commitment to encouraging fresh thinking that can translate into real improvements for government services.
The award, run by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, is structured around three categories. The Digital Innovation Award recognizes work that advances technological transformation. The Leadership and Knowledge Management Award focuses on strategic and organizational excellence. The Dubai Residency Services Award highlights proposals that directly enhance the residency experience.
Participation is open to a broad range of applicants, including government and semi-government entities, private sector organizations and academic institutions. Individuals from both inside and outside the UAE are also eligible to apply, reflecting the award's ambition to draw ideas from a diverse pool of contributors.
Interested applicants can submit their research and applied proposals through the official registration link before the new deadline of October 15. Organizers are encouraging early submissions from those with ideas that could support sustainable development and innovation within Dubai's residency sector.
