Dubai's private sector is set for a sweeping artificial intelligence overhaul after Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, launched a two-year initiative to accelerate the adoption of Agentic AI — self-executing, self-leading technology — across the emirate's business landscape.

Announced under the directives of Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the programme targets Dubai's private sector through specialised training tracks for all business councils affiliated with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.

Sheikh Hamdan directed the Chamber to establish dedicated incubators for Agentic AI companies, create economic opportunities for young people in the field, and set up funds to support the transition.

"Our goal is for Dubai to become the world's leading city in adopting these technologies economically and commercially,"

he said.

The initiative aims to empower businesses to boost productivity, expand operations and reduce costs — positioning Dubai as a global benchmark for commercial AI adoption. It forms part of the broader Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) and builds on existing programmes including DubaiNow, the Dubai Metaverse Strategy and the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence.

Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, described the launch as a pivotal milestone, affirming that the Chamber will roll out specialised AI training and startup support structures to drive implementation.

Business leaders including Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, Omar Al Futtaim and Ahmad bin Byat welcomed the initiative, highlighting its potential to develop future-ready business models, attract global tech talent and accelerate digital transformation across sectors.

The programme underscores Dubai's broader ambition to become the world's most future-ready city — technologically, economically and in quality of life.
