Dubai's official community giving platform, JOOD, has posted strong results for the first quarter of 2026, with total contributions surpassing AED63 million across more than 1,500 contributions and 30 initiatives.

The figures signal growing public confidence in the platform, which serves as Dubai's structured framework for transparent and impactful charitable giving. JOOD also reported increased user engagement and digital reach during the period, alongside an expanded portfolio of initiatives spanning health, care and housing.

Her Excellency Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority and Chairperson of JOOD's Board of Trustees, said the results reflect the maturing of Dubai's community giving ecosystem.

"The strong growth in contributions and community engagement underscores increasing awareness of the importance of institutionalised charitable work,"

she said, adding that the platform is strengthening its digital capabilities and partnerships to ensure contributions are directed toward clear developmental priorities.

His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Vice Chairperson of JOOD's Board of Trustees, linked the platform's progress to the UAE's Year of Family theme, reaffirming the commitment to initiatives that promote solidarity and social cohesion across Dubai.

JOOD Chief Executive Officer Marwan Rashid bin Hashim said the platform will deepen collaboration across the public and private sectors to expand access to trusted initiatives and build a more sustainable giving landscape aligned with Dubai's strategic vision.

Looking ahead, JOOD is scheduled to hold its second Board of Trustees meeting in the second quarter of 2026 to review Q1 performance and set strategic priorities. The platform will also host a philanthropy workshop bringing together more than 50 decision-makers from government and private sector entities to advance giving practices across the emirate.
