The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will host the eleventh edition of the Knowledge Summit on November 17 and 18, 2026, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Themed "Knowledge: Navigating Crises in a Changing World," the summit arrives at a moment of accelerating global shifts across economic, technological and social fronts. The event aims to bring together leading decision-makers, experts and specialists from around the world to exchange perspectives and develop practical solutions to pressing global challenges.
Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, said the summit comes at a critical juncture.
"There is a pressing need to re-evaluate how we tackle global challenges, by adopting innovative, knowledge-based solutions that can keep pace with the rapid global transformations,"
he noted, adding that knowledge remains a strategic pillar for building a more resilient and sustainable future.
The summit will also serve as a platform to celebrate the winners of the ninth edition of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Award, which recognises researchers, thinkers and institutions at the forefront of knowledge dissemination.
A key highlight of this year's edition will be the release of the Global Knowledge Index 2026, an internationally recognised benchmark for measuring nations' readiness to transition toward knowledge and innovation-based economies. The index, now in its tenth edition, continues to track progress across countries worldwide.
Beyond dialogue, the summit positions itself as an ecosystem connecting government, the private sector, academic institutions and youth, with the goal of translating knowledge into practical applications through strategic partnerships and forward-looking initiatives.
