H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council, today opened GISEC Global 2024, the Middle East and Africa’s largest and most impactful cyber security event.

Running for three days at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), GISEC Global’s 13th edition features more than 750 exhibiting brands – a 50 percent increase over the previous year – as more than 20,000 cyber professionals from 130-plus countries gather to combat digital threats in a Gulf Cooperation Council cybersecurity market that, according to analysts Frost & Sullivan, will triple in value by 2030 to reach US$13.4 billion.

GISEC Global, hosted by the UAE Cybersecurity Council and organized by DWTC, features leading tech players like Huawei, Honeywell, du, Microsoft, and Google Cloud Security, alongside cybersecurity firms such as Spire Solutions and Kaspersky. With over 350 speakers, including Chief Information Security Officers and ethical hackers, the event focuses on AI-driven cyber-resilience. Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti highlights collaboration's importance in facing evolving cyber-threats.

Dr. Aloysius Cheang of Huawei emphasizes GISEC's significance as a platform for innovation and networking, contributing to a trusted digital environment in the Arab World.

GISEC Global introduces exclusive cybersecurity experiences, including the Global CyberDrill simulation involving experts from over 100 countries to address cyber threats collaboratively. Dubai government teams join the Capture the Flag competition, and regional startups compete in the Unlock Pitch Competition. The inaugural GISEC Cyber Excellence Awards recognize industry leaders. GISEC Armory showcases open-source projects. The conference program offers 300+ hours of content, featuring executive boardrooms, cyber defense tracks, Ask the Hacker Q&A sessions, and True Stories narrated by CISOs, unveiling insights into real-world cyber incidents.

GISEC Global also features the Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC) as its official government cybersecurity partner, and the Ministry of Interior and Dubai Police as official supporters.
