Dubai has taken a major step in advancing leadership education as H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, witnessed the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding between the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Leadership Development (MBRCLD) and five leading international universities.
The agreements with Georgetown University, IESE Business School, IMD Business School, INSEAD and HEC Paris will establish the “Dubai Leadership Research” initiative and an advanced leadership programme inspired by the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
The research will be integrated into MBA and executive education programmes, reaching students and business leaders across more than 90 countries through The Case Centre. It will also be featured in the Harvard Business Review, extending its impact to millions of readers worldwide.
The MoUs were signed during the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre on 24 September, which gathered 1,000 government and private sector leaders to explore the future of management and leadership.
Saeed Al Eter, Director-General of The Executive Office of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, signed the agreements with senior representatives from each partner university. The partnerships aim to document Sheikh Mohammed’s leadership philosophy, highlighting innovation, bold decision-making and people-focused governance.
Mohammad Al Gergawi, Chairman of MBRCLD, said the initiative will showcase Dubai’s success story as a global reference in leadership and enrich academic experiences by inspiring future leaders.
By linking Dubai’s leadership journey with some of the world’s most prestigious institutions, the initiative reinforces the emirate’s position as a hub for knowledge, innovation and leadership development.
