Mohammed bin Rashid Unveils New Master Plan for Expo City Dubai

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has approved a new master plan for Expo City Dubai.

The plan was announced in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

The new plan outlines Expo City Dubai’s role in driving the emirate’s future development and positioning it as a global hub. The site, which hosted the historic Expo 2020 and COP28, will play a key role in Dubai’s progress across trade, technology, tourism, and business sectors.

Expo City is strategically located near Al Maktoum International Airport, Jebel Ali Port, and Dubai Exhibition Centre, making it a central part of Dubai’s growth. It will also contribute to the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the ambitious Dubai Economic Agenda D33, aimed at doubling the economy by 2033.

Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the city’s future potential as a hub for entrepreneurs, investors, and residents, emphasizing its commitment to sustainability and innovation. The plan includes new developments such as DP World’s global headquarters and the expansion of Dubai Exhibition Centre.

Expo City will be home to over 35,000 residents and 40,000 professionals, making it a vibrant, sustainable community designed for future growth.

Sheikh Hamdan reiterated the city’s vision to elevate the quality of life for all, ensuring that Dubai remains a leader in shaping a prosperous, sustainable future.
