The Museum of the Future has opened its doors to the world — not just as a destination, but as a collaborator.
The iconic Dubai institution has launched a global open call inviting individuals from the UAE and beyond to submit ideas that will help shape its next generation of immersive, future-focused experiences.
The initiative marks a significant milestone as the Museum approaches its fifth anniversary since opening in February 2022. Rather than a passive celebration, it signals an active evolution, with the institution seeking fresh perspectives from scientists, innovators, researchers, and everyday people alike.

Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Chairman of the Museum of the Future, framed the move as an extension of the UAE's broader philosophy on foresight.
"Unlike traditional museums that document the past, the Museum of the Future explores what tomorrow could become,"
he said, adding that the future
"is not something we wait for, but something we create through knowledge, imagination, and action."
Al Gergawi also emphasised the importance of inclusive participation.
"The ideas capable of changing people's lives may come from anyone, anywhere in the world,"
he noted, describing the open call as a reflection of the UAE's commitment to partnership, openness, and empowerment.
The Museum's upcoming phase promises a new generation of deeper, more interactive experiences examining major scientific and technological shifts expected to reshape economies and societies in the decades ahead.
Submissions can be made through the Museum of the Future's official social media channels. Selected ideas will feed into the institution's ongoing plans to refresh its exhibitions and innovations, with further details to be announced.
Since its 2022 launch, the Museum of the Future has cemented Dubai's reputation as a global hub for forward-thinking innovation and bold ideas.
