Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has awarded the naming rights of Jebel Ali Metro Station to National Paints Factories Co. Ltd., marking a strategic branding move in one of the city’s busiest industrial zones. The station will now carry the name National Paints Metro Station for the next decade.
The agreement was formalised between National Paints and Hypermedia, with Mada Media present as the RTA-appointed concessionaire under its broader partnership framework. Located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, the station serves as a critical transport link for one of Dubai’s fastest-growing commercial hubs.
Abdul Mohsen Kalbat, CEO of RTA’s Rail Agency, called the collaboration a testament to the success of the Metro Station Naming Rights Initiative. He noted the partnership reflects the government's broader strategy to strengthen public-private ties, foster knowledge exchange, and support economic development across the UAE.
Mada Media CEO Mohamad Al Hammadi emphasised the value of such naming rights in turning metro stations into powerful branding and engagement platforms. He highlighted that the initiative enhances visibility for key companies in vital urban touchpoints.
National Paints Managing Director Samer Sayegh said the deal reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and urban development. With roots in the UAE since 1977, the firm views this move as a symbol of its continued investment in the region’s growth.
RTA will begin updating all signage, digital platforms, and audio announcements with the new station name from July through October 2025.
