Palma Development has announced two major construction milestones at Serenia District, its AED 5 billion master-planned community in Jumeirah Islands, signalling strong forward momentum across the 3.5 million sq. ft. development.
APCC Piling & Marine Contracting has been appointed to carry out piling and shoring works at Serenia District East. The contractor brings proven familiarity with the project, having previously delivered the same scope for Serenia District West and Serenia Living on Palm Jumeirah. Their track record with Palma's standards made them a natural fit for this next phase.
At West Residence, a 46-storey tower representing phase one of the masterplan, foundation works have been completed and main contractor Khansaheb Civil Engineering has mobilised on site. Khansaheb was awarded the AED 760 million construction contract last December and has commenced operations, keeping the project on schedule.
The milestones follow Palma's on-time completion of Serenia Living on Palm Jumeirah, where the majority of owners have already taken handover of their units.
CEO Kareem Derbas said the strong response from Serenia Living owners reflects the trust clients place in the developer. "Business continuity and on-time delivery are not aspirations, they are the standard we hold ourselves to," he said.
Executive Director Omar Derbas added that APCC's performance on Serenia Living provided full confidence in their ability to deliver at Serenia District East, while progress at West Residence is advancing exactly as planned.
Designed by Japan's Nikken Sekkei and inspired by the Japanese Ireko philosophy, Serenia District will feature six integrated towers, a Signature Clubhouse, wellness and recreation zones, and 20 kilometres of walkways. The community sits minutes from JLT, DMCC, and Dubai Marina.
