Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has distributed meals to delivery riders across the emirate as part of an initiative recognising their daily contribution to the community and Dubai’s growing delivery sector.

The meals were provided by the UAE Food Bank in collaboration with Deliveroo and distributed at temporary rest areas designated for delivery riders at bus and metro stations.

A total of 23 locations across key areas of Dubai were selected for the initiative. These facilities were chosen based on the number of delivery riders using the temporary rest areas, helping ensure that meals reached locations with the highest demand.

The initiative acknowledges the important role delivery riders play in supporting Dubai’s economy, particularly as demand for delivery services continues to grow across the emirate.

By providing meals at easily accessible rest areas, the programme also supports broader efforts to improve working conditions and quality of life for delivery riders.

The initiative forms part of Dubai’s wider focus on community wellbeing and supports the emirate’s goal of strengthening its position as one of the world’s best cities to live and work.
