Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced the “Promising Engineer – Fast Track” programme, a strategic initiative aimed at fast-tracking the careers of high-achieving Emirati engineering graduates.
Designed to build technical and professional competencies, the programme supports the UAE’s national Emiratisation agenda and RTA’s goals of future readiness and talent development. It targets UAE nationals who have recently graduated with a GPA of 3.5 or higher from recognised engineering programmes.
Participants will undergo intensive training that combines technical coursework, hands-on fieldwork, and mentorship. The curriculum also includes participation in operational teams and real-world infrastructure projects across RTA’s various agencies.
Athari Mohamed, Executive Director of Human Resources and Development at RTA, highlighted the programme’s role in nurturing the next generation of Emirati engineering leaders. She said the initiative provides clear career pathways and opportunities for growth within a supportive, innovation-driven work environment.
The programme is further reinforced by partnerships with global companies and universities, offering participants access to specialised certifications and exposure to cutting-edge projects. RTA also offers a suite of incentives to retain and advance local talent, aligning with its long-term vision to build a strong, skilled Emirati workforce.
