Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has earned an intellectual property certificate for its first industrial design, the solar-powered electric abra, marking a major step in its sustainability and innovation journey.
The Ministry of Economy, the UAE’s official authority on intellectual property, awarded the certificate to RTA’s Marine Transport Department at the Public Transport Agency. The recognition secures RTA’s exclusive rights to the design and supports licensing, franchising, and asset protection initiatives.
