SANDBOX, an Accelerator programme under Oraseya Capital, concluded its fourth cohort, providing AED 570,000 (USD 150,000) in investment to each of seven promising tech startups.

The programme, part of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), received over 1,500 applications. The funded startups include Qureos, Herogo, Lisan, Sthrive, Zoya, JobEscape, and Opteam, covering sectors from recruitment tech and sustainable food to AI-driven project management.

Hassan Waheed, Vice President of Corporate Finance and Treasury at DIEZ and Partner at Oraseya Capital, highlighted the strategic initiative's role in fostering small and medium-sized enterprises and supporting Dubai's digital economy. Oraseya Capital also led investment rounds in startups like Growdash, a restaurant-focused SaaS platform, RemotePass, an HR tech platform, and iSchool, an EdTech company.

The SANDBOX Accelerator offers a comprehensive 5-month programme divided into an 8-week Evaluation phase and a 3-month Accelerator phase, focusing on revenue generation and fundraising. Participating startups receive extensive mentorship, workshops, and networking opportunities with regional investors.

The fifth cohort of SANDBOX begins in September 2024, with over 1,100 applications already received.

Interested startups can apply for the sixth edition via the SANDBOX website.
