Saudi Cup 2022 will be broadcast on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Pavilion’s outdoor mirror screen, enabling Expo visitors to watch the horse race live, the February 25-26th Saudi Cup 2022 meeting has a total purse of US$35.1 million with more than 700 entries from 22 countries.

Visitors to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai can get a front-row seat this month to watch Saudi Cup 2022, the world’s most valuable horse race with a prize of $US20 million.

The Pavilion will broadcast the race live along with other racing highlights during a “Golden Hour” of action on Saturday 26th February from 9pm UAE (8pm KSA) in the Pavilion’s outdoor area.

The race will be screened on the Pavilion’s 1,302 sq.m. LED digital screen, offering visitors an unparalleled view of the live racing action from the King Abdulaziz Racecourse in Riyadh.

At the free entry stage, the Saudi Cup 2022 meeting attracted more than 700 entries from 22 countries - including over 150 entries from the United States, more than 90 entries from Japan, and a remarkable 71 international Group 1 winners.

The likely fields have taken shape as the Saudi Cup race anticipates to be contested by the winners of 16 top-tier Group 1 races from six countries. Over the course of two days, runners from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Norway, Qatar, Spain, Sweden and Uruguay will be competing to win a slice of the US$35.1 million prize.

Saudi Cup 2021 champion Mishriff (IRE), trained in England by John and Thady Gosden, bids to retain his title, a feat which will see him become the highest-earning racehorse in history.

Prince Bandar bin Khalid Al Faisal, Chairman of the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia which oversees the race, said:

The Saudi Pavilion, the second largest pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, welcomed its 3 millionth visitor on February 13, a testament to growing interest in the country as it undergoes an unprecedented transformation guided by Vision 2030. The Saudi Pavilion is drawing approximately a quarter of all Expo visits with its rich and diverse program of activities, allowing visitors to explore the opportunities in the Kingdom, learn more about its heritage, and experience its culture through vibrant cultural shows.
