The UAE has announced the retail fuel prices for the month of August. The fuel price committee increased the retail rates for Super 98, Special 95, and E-Plus 91 by 5 fils per litre from the month of July.
From August 1, 2023, Super 98 petrol will cost Dhs3.14 a litre from Dhs3 a litre in July, while Special 95 will cost Dhs3.02 a litre compared to Dh2.89 a litre the previous month, according to a tweet from fuel retailing company Emarat.
Diesel will cost Dhs2.95 per litre in July from Dhs2.76 in June while the price of E-plus 91 rose to Dhs2.95 compared to Dh2.81 the previous month.
The UAE liberalized petrol prices in 2015 to allow rates to move in line with the market. Fuel prices in the country tend to fluctuate in line with global trends.
The UAE’s fuel price committee meets every month to decide whether prices will increase or decrease.
