The two-day event featured 24 expert speakers from various aviation safety sectors, addressing critical issues like Wake Turbulence, Safety Management Systems (SMS), Fatigue Management, and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).

As part of the UAE State Safety Program’s (SSP) Safety Promotion initiative, the SMS panel explored advancements in data-driven safety oversight, risk management, and safety reporting systems. The session highlighted best practices that ensure the UAE remains a global leader in aviation safety.

A significant focus of the conference was fatigue management. Experts presented strategies for managing fatigue risks across flight operations, air traffic control, and maintenance sectors. The session featured practical approaches and case studies aimed at reducing fatigue’s impact on safety.

Another highlight was the AAM panel, which discussed the integration of electric vertical takeoff and landing (EVTOL) aircraft into urban airspace. This session underscored the UAE’s commitment to adopting innovative technologies while maintaining high safety standards.

Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director-General of GCAA, reiterated the UAE's dedication to enhancing safety management in response to rapid global changes.

Aqeel Al Zarouni, Assistant Director-General for Aviation Safety Affairs, emphasised that the conference served as an ideal platform for sharing insights and exploring future aviation challenges.
