The UAE Cyber Security Council and Open Innovation AI have unveiled a homegrown artificial intelligence model built specifically for cybersecurity, aimed at helping professionals and organisations tackle an increasingly complex threat landscape.
Developed collaboratively in the UAE, the model merges CSC's cybersecurity expertise with Open Innovation AI's engineering capabilities. It has been designed to support vulnerability analysis, secure code review and remediation, incident investigation, cyber defence reasoning and security advisory work, among other functions.
Rather than replacing human decision-making, the model is intended to strengthen the work of cybersecurity professionals. It can identify and assess vulnerabilities, analyse secure code, investigate root causes and impact, review security patches and support incident response, generating structured outputs that integrate into security operations centres and enterprise platforms.
Built using proprietary cybersecurity data and trained on Open Innovation AI's AI Fabric, the model draws on distributed training and GPU optimisation to make efficient use of large-scale AI infrastructure. It can also be deployed in private and sovereign environments, allowing organisations to retain control over sensitive data and workloads.
The initiative ties into the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031 and broader national efforts to bolster digital resilience and technological sovereignty.
Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cyber Security Council, said artificial intelligence is reshaping the cybersecurity landscape on both sides, changing how threats evolve and how they are countered. He said the partnership pairs specialised cybersecurity knowledge with advanced AI to help professionals respond more effectively to sophisticated attacks.
Rachid Belmeskine, CTO and co-founder of Open Innovation AI, said the company is focused on building advanced AI capabilities in strategic UAE sectors like cybersecurity, combining technical expertise with a model that operates securely within controlled environments.
The launch marks a new phase in the ongoing collaboration between the two organisations.
