The UAE Cyber Security Council (CSC) has partnered with Palo Alto Networks in a strategic Memorandum of Understanding aimed at building advanced, AI-powered cybersecurity capabilities across the country's digital infrastructure.

The agreement establishes a framework for both immediate and long-term cooperation, embedding cybersecurity across every layer of the UAE's digital ecosystem. Central to the MoU is the creation of a Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence in the UAE, focused on capacity building, environmental simulation and joint technology demonstrations.

A key priority of the partnership is developing national cyber talent through educational programmes spanning students, professionals and executives. These initiatives will be integrated into academic curricula and specialised training frameworks, building a pipeline of skilled practitioners aligned with the UAE's long-term vision.

The collaboration will also strengthen the national CERT's operational capabilities by leveraging AI and automation to deliver enhanced visibility and a unified response framework. Expert advisory services will support the advancement of Resilience-By-Design architectures covering cloud security, critical infrastructure protection and incident response.

Both parties will explore joint research and innovation in AI governance, post-quantum cryptography and smart city security, while participating in strategic forums to position the UAE as a global cybersecurity leader.

"This collaboration reflects the UAE's ongoing efforts to strengthen national cybersecurity capabilities and build a resilient digital ecosystem that supports sustainable economic growth,"

said Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government.

Helmut Reisinger, CEO EMEA at Palo Alto Networks, said the partnership offers a meaningful opportunity to explore how advanced cybersecurity capabilities can drive innovation, resilience and economic growth across the region.
