The UAE’s labour market continues to demonstrate resilience and stability, with businesses maintaining operations and meeting wage commitments despite ongoing regional developments, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

In a recent statement, the Ministry confirmed that private sector activity remains steady, supported by a strong economic framework and effective collaboration between government and businesses. Data from the Wage Protection System shows that companies are consistently paying salaries on time, reflecting high compliance with labour regulations.

The Ministry noted that the system now covers around 99 percent of private sector workers, with no significant changes in compliance rates. This consistency underscores confidence in the country’s regulatory environment and its ability to sustain economic growth under varying conditions.

Operational indicators further highlight uninterrupted activity. More than 2.3 million transactions were completed in March alone, bringing the total for the first quarter of 2026 to approximately 7 million. Communication channels also recorded strong engagement, including over 4 million call centre interactions and 1.5 million legal consultations delivered in 22 languages.

Authorities emphasised that most businesses continue to operate from their usual workplaces, while others have adopted flexible arrangements such as remote or hybrid work to maintain productivity. Existing labour laws support these adaptations, allowing companies to respond effectively to changing circumstances.

The Ministry added that it will continue monitoring labour market trends in coordination with relevant partners to ensure sustained performance. Private sector firms have also reiterated their commitment to job security and salary stability, reinforcing confidence in the UAE’s economic outlook.
