The UAE Ministry of Finance has received the Digital Innovation in Asset Management Award 2026 from the Institute of Asset Management (IAM), recognising its Federal Properties Platform as a standout model for intelligent, data-driven government asset management.

The award was presented at the IAM Global Conference in London, where asset management experts and specialists from around the world gathered to celebrate excellence in the field. The IAM is a leading international non-profit organisation based in the United Kingdom, dedicated to advancing global best practices in asset management.

Launched on 12 January 2026, the Federal Properties Platform provides a centralised digital database that enables federal entities to manage real estate asset data with greater accuracy and consistency. The platform integrates with other government systems and supports the generation of periodic reports and key performance indicators to guide data-driven decision-making.

Its architecture enables the adoption of AI and advanced analytics across the full asset lifecycle, from registration and valuation through to operations and maintenance, improving planning quality and supporting proactive decisions on government real estate.

Mariam Mohamed Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Government Financial Management Sector at the Ministry of Finance, said the recognition reflects international appreciation for the UAE's approach to building smart, data-driven government ecosystems. She added that the platform serves as a strategic enabler for unlocking greater value from government resources while strengthening transparency and supporting sustainable financial planning.

The achievement reinforces the UAE's broader ambitions in digital transformation, positioning the Ministry of Finance as a regional leader in modernising how federal assets are governed, managed and leveraged for long-term financial sustainability.
