Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Dubai has announced the issuance of Golden Visas to exceptional educators in the private education sector.
The announcement, made by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, coincided with World Teachers' Day, highlighting the vital role educators play in shaping the emirate's future.
This initiative aligns with the recently launched Education 33 strategy, which aims to recognize and promote the contributions of inspiring educators who enrich students’ learning experiences. Sheikh Hamdan emphasized,
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all teachers and educators. They are a source of inspiration for today’s youth and tomorrow’s leaders, and their contributions support Dubai’s development.”
The Golden Visas will be awarded to educators from private early childhood centres, schools, and higher education institutions who have made significant contributions to student success and garnered community appreciation. This decision also supports the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, who established the Emirati Day for Education, to be celebrated annually on February 28.
The initiative reflects the UAE’s deep respect for teachers and acknowledges their critical role in fostering a passion for knowledge and instilling positive values. It also aims to attract exceptional educational talent to Dubai, contributing to the broader goals of the Education 33 strategy, which seeks to position the emirate as a top destination for outstanding educators and enhance the quality of education across all levels.
