WETEX 2024 to Open in Dubai Under the Theme ‘At the Forefront of Sustainability’
Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, is set to inaugurate the 26th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) tomorrow.
Organised by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), WETEX 2024 will run from 1st to 3rd October at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event will showcase innovations from 2,800 companies representing 65 countries. This year’s theme, ‘At the forefront of sustainability,’ highlights advancements in energy, water, green development, decarbonisation, cybersecurity, and sustainable cities.
WETEX 2024 will feature the Green Mobility Hall, the Future Energy Landscape Forum, and the Health and Safety Hub, alongside numerous seminars and panels addressing sustainability topics. These discussions will attract global experts to explore solutions shaping a greener future.
In addition, the event will foster collaboration through Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Government (B2G) meetings, facilitating partnerships between companies, government entities, and investors.
Running concurrently, the 10th World Green Economy Summit (WGES), taking place from 2nd to 3rd October, will focus on decarbonisation, climate finance, circular economy policies, and technology's role in combating climate change. The summit, held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed, is co-organised by DEWA, the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, and the World Green Economy Organisation.
