WhatsApp has revolutionized the way people communicate by introducing voice messages, enabling quick and secure voice sharing. Building on this feature, WhatsApp is now introducing instant video messages, enhancing the chatting experience further.
With video messages, users can respond to chats in real-time by recording and sharing short personal videos directly within the chat. These videos can last up to 60 seconds, offering a fun and expressive way to convey emotions and share memorable moments. Whether it's wishing someone a happy birthday, sharing a laugh over a joke, or delivering good news, video messages add a new dimension to communication.
Sending a video message is as easy as sending a voice message. Users can simply tap to switch to video mode and hold to record the video. Moreover, for hands-free recording, they can swipe up to lock the video recording. Videos will play automatically on mute when opened in a chat, and tapping on the video will enable sound. To ensure privacy and security, video messages are protected with end-to-end encryption.
The rollout of video messages has already begun and will be progressively available to all WhatsApp users in the upcoming weeks.
