The World Governments Summit (WGS), in collaboration with PwC Middle East, has launched the second edition of the Global Ministers Survey, aiming to gather insights from global ministers on key challenges.

In a simultaneous move, WGS also announced the eighth edition of the Best Minister Award, celebrating leadership in public service.

The announcement was made in the presence of Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and Ohood Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and Vice Chair of WGS, who signed cooperation agreements with PwC Middle East. The survey, designed to enhance international collaboration, will focus on global developments and help ministers devise more effective solutions to pressing issues. Its findings will guide public policy and highlight development priorities.

The Best Minister Award seeks to recognize ministers who lead impactful government initiatives that foster resilience, innovation, and positive societal change. The award aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, to promote excellence in government leadership globally.

Al Roumi emphasized that the survey and award reflect WGS’s commitment to fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among ministers worldwide.

“The Best Minister Award highlights leaders pioneering solutions that meet their people's needs and improve quality of life,”

she said.

Hani Ashkar of PwC Middle East also expressed pride in the partnership, stating that the survey and award play a vital role in promoting sustainable global solutions. The award’s rigorous selection process includes evaluating ministers' contributions based on key socio-economic indicators and global research, with PwC’s central team ensuring fairness and transparency in the nominations.
