The 1 Billion Followers Summit has announced the agenda for its fifth edition, bringing more than 400 speakers with a combined following above 4 billion to Dubai from January 8 to 10, 2027.
Held under the theme "Content for Good", the event will take place at Jumeirah Emirates Towers, DIFC and the Museum of the Future.
Organised by the UAE Government Media Office and held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Summit revealed the details at a press conference hosted by Creators HQ at Emirates Towers. Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, attended.
The second edition of the world's largest AI Film Award, valued at $1 million, returns in partnership with BytePlus, ByteDance's enterprise technology arm. Submissions will be judged across seven themes, including Science and Discovery, Culture and Traditions and Lost and Forgotten Stories. TikTok will also back a new #1MillionStories competition with a $100,000 prize for the best video about a film or TV series that changed someone's life.
Instagram will host its first Creators Day, while the Creators Market returns with 100 creator-led SMEs. A Creators Brand Village, organised with Alfan, will connect creators with brands.
Saeed Al Eter, Chairman of the UAE Government Media Office and CEO of the Summit, said the UAE aims to bring creators, platforms, companies and investors together. He pointed to the AED 150 million Content Creators Support Fund, the AED 50 million Creators Ventures Accelerator and 15,000 licensed creators in the country.
Platforms including Meta, TikTok, OpenAI, LinkedIn, Google, X and YouTube will have dedicated spaces. The fourth edition drew more than 580 sessions and 500 speakers.
