His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum inaugurated the 31st Middle East Petroleum & Gas Conference (MPGC) at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre.

Hosted by ENOC Group and organized by S&P Global Commodity Insights, the event runs until May 22, 2024, under the theme “Evolving Core Energy Markets within a Sustainable Landscape.” The conference gathers industry leaders to discuss the balance between fossil fuels and renewable energy amid global disruptions and geopolitical challenges. It also features three expert-led training courses on navigating energy sector complexities.

His Excellency Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO of ENOC and Co-Chairman of the Middle East Petroleum & Gas Conference, highlighted the conference's role as a crucial platform for industry specialists to discuss trends, issues, and solutions. He emphasized its importance in fostering dialogue, innovation, and progress amid rapid market changes. Over three days, MPGC 2024 offers two tracks on downstream activities, low-carbon projects, and emerging energy, exploring sustainable energy in aviation and maritime sectors, refinery optimization, chemical investments, and hydrogen interactions. The conference aims to provide insights for a sustainable energy future.

MPGC 2024 is expected to bring together over 400 participants from the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas including leading traders, oil and gas majors, national oil companies, refiners, professional consultants, and digital technologists, as well as banks and exchanges, legal firms, regulators, renewable energy players, and other supply and service companies.
