Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Arab Media Summit 2025 kicked off on 26 May at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Organised by the Dubai Press Club, the three-day event brings together senior government officials, media executives, and influential content creators from across the Arab world and beyond.
This year’s summit features distinguished figures including His Eminence Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, and Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani. A key highlight is the keynote address on Day 3 by H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, chairperson of Dubai Culture, focusing on ‘Media’s Role in the Age of Algorithms’ during the Arab Social Media Influencers Summit.
The event also features insights from Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President, on how social media and emerging digital platforms influence public communication and strategic priorities. A significant panel gathers Arab Ministers of Information to discuss the future of public media and strategies for stronger collaboration with the private sector to create a unified Arab media narrative.
Lebanon’s Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghassan Salameh, will address the media’s role in fostering regional stability. Prominent media personality Piers Morgan will also take part in a special session.
Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson of the Dubai Media Council, highlighted the summit’s importance amid rapid geopolitical and technological change. She emphasized the event’s role in fostering collaboration and inspiring new initiatives to shape the future of Arab media.
Flagship initiatives such as the Arab Media Forum, Arab Youth Media Forum, and Arab Social Media Influencers Summit and Award underscore the Summit’s commitment to advancing regional media dialogue and development.
