The Dubai Media Council will lead key discussions on the rapid growth of the film and gaming industries during the Arab Media Summit 2025, held from 26 to 28 May under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

As the region’s largest media gathering, the Summit will bring together over 6,000 media professionals, experts, and decision-makers.

The Council’s participation, guided by the directives of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will feature panel discussions, workshops, and dialogues focused on emerging trends in media.

Nehal Badri, Secretary General of the Dubai Media Council, emphasized the event’s role in fostering constructive dialogue and supporting industry advancement, particularly through initiatives like “Dubai Films and Games,” which promotes collaboration between local talent and global developers.

Sessions will highlight how the UAE can build a competitive global film industry by developing locally produced content that meets international standards. Experts will also explore future opportunities in television, drama production, and the integration of artificial intelligence to enhance media creation and economic growth.

Maryam Al Mulla, Acting Director of Dubai Press Club, noted that the Council’s agenda aligns with the Summit’s future-driven vision, while the ‘Dubai Media Pioneers’ initiative will honor Emirati media professionals, featuring prominent figures such as H.H. Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum.

Organized by Dubai Press Club, the Summit combines forums, awards, and youth-focused events to address challenges, celebrate achievements, and shape the future of Arab media across print, digital, and audiovisual platforms.
