Azizi Developments has awarded a AED 1.1 billion structural steel contract to Eversendai Corporation Berhad for its upcoming Burj Azizi tower in Dubai, marking a major step forward in the delivery of what is planned to become the world’s second tallest building.
The agreement was signed by Mirwais Azizi and Tan Sri A.K. Nathan, formalising the partnership for the landmark mixed-use skyscraper.
Burj Azizi is set to rise as a prominent addition to Dubai’s skyline, with ambitions to rank among the tallest structures globally. The project underscores the emirate’s continued focus on large-scale, high-profile developments that reinforce its position as a global real estate hub.
Mirwais Azizi said the appointment reflects confidence in Eversendai’s proven ability to deliver complex steel structures at scale, citing the contractor’s international track record and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Tan Sri A.K. Nathan noted that Eversendai will bring its engineering expertise to support the execution of the tower, adding that the company has extensive experience handling technically demanding high-rise projects.
