Dubai’s consumer protection authority has signed a strategic agreement with AutoPro to strengthen service quality, transparency, and consistency across the emirate’s vehicle maintenance sector.

The collaboration between Dubai Corporation for Consumer Protection and Fair Trade, part of Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, and AutoPro, a subsidiary of Emirates National Oil Company, positions the automotive service network as a technical partner in implementing sector-wide quality standards.

Under the agreement, AutoPro will support structured technical assessments, introduce best practice frameworks, and lead awareness initiatives aimed at helping consumers make informed decisions when choosing service providers.

The initiative establishes a formal framework for technical oversight in the automotive aftersales market. It is expected to improve service consistency, reinforce accountability among providers, and promote fair pricing practices, reducing disputes between customers and businesses.

Officials said the partnership aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the emirate’s economy by 2033 and strengthen its global competitiveness.

Mohammed Abdulla Shael AlSaadi, CEO of DCCPFT, said the collaboration will enhance consumer protection while supporting businesses in operating within clear and fair market structures. Hussain Sultan Lootah, Group CEO of ENOC, added that the initiative reflects a broader commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused automotive services.

AutoPro operates 42 locations across the UAE, employs over 1,500 staff, and serves around two million customers annually, making it a key player in advancing consistent service standards across the sector.
