Checkout.com has announced a global partnership with Samsung Electronics to support its digital commerce ecosystem with flexible, high-performance payment capabilities and bring Samsung Pay to more merchants.
Checkout.com already processes payments for Samsung Gulf Electronics, supporting Samsung.com across the MENA region. Under the new agreement, it will extend that support to additional Samsung digital commerce environments in the EU and North America, across both the Galaxy Store and Samsung.com.
The partnership combines Checkout.com’s global and local acquiring capabilities, payment processing platform and optimisation technology. Samsung will use Intelligent Acceptance, an AI-powered engine that draws on real-time data from Checkout.com’s global network to optimise transactions, reduce payment failures and improve performance.
Samsung Pay will also launch on Flow, Checkout.com’s low-code payments integration. This gives all Checkout.com merchants a simple way to add Samsung Pay as a digital wallet option for online and in-app checkout, opening access to more than 1 billion Samsung Galaxy phone users.
Woncheol Chai, Executive Vice President at Samsung Electronics, said the company needs payment infrastructure that is flexible, reliable and ready to scale across markets. He said the partnership will create a more consistent foundation for digital commerce.
Antoine Nougué, Chief Revenue Officer at Checkout.com, said the combination of acquiring capabilities, Intelligent Acceptance and Flow will build greater flexibility into Samsung’s payments infrastructure while giving merchants more choice.
The announcement comes as 63% of consumers in MENA expect to shop online more often over 2026 and 2027, according to Checkout.com’s MENA Digital Commerce 2026 report. The company now serves more than 1,700 enterprise merchants and has recently announced partnerships with Microsoft, Spotify and Best Buy.
