DEWA International has signed four memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with leading global entities during the 28th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2026), as it works to grow its international project portfolio.
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and Chairman of DEWA International, witnessed the signing. The agreements were signed by Waleed bin Salman, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Excellence and Vice Chairman of DEWA International.
The first MoU, with EDF Middle East, explores cooperation between DEWA International and France’s EDF Power Solutions in energy and renewables. It identifies potential investment opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and global markets, including joint participation in solar, wind, battery storage and pumped-storage hydropower projects.
The second, with China Energy International Group, explores the company’s potential role as an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) partner for major energy, water and infrastructure projects. It also covers cooperation in project development.
The third, with UK-based Capital Dynamics, looks at a strategic partnership to jointly invest in operational clean energy assets in Europe. It also explores an investment vehicle for future clean energy infrastructure.
The fourth, with Tata Consultancy Services, explores the firm’s potential as a technical consultancy partner in technology strategy, IT/OT integration and asset performance management solutions.
Al Tayer said DEWA International is committed to building partnerships with institutions that have deep experience in energy, water and infrastructure. He said the MoUs will help exchange knowledge, accelerate the transition to clean energy and strengthen the resilience and efficiency of electricity and water infrastructure. They will also support expansion in the UAE, across the GCC and in global markets, while diversifying the investment portfolio and creating long-term value.
