Dubai Chambers has signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Greater Bay Area Importers and Exporters Association (GBAIEA) and the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance (GBA Entrepreneurs Alliance) to open new trade and investment opportunities for Dubai-based companies and their Chinese counterparts.
The agreements were signed during the Dubai Business Forum – China, organised recently by Dubai Chambers in Shenzhen. H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, signed the MoU with GBAIEA alongside Zhao Huazhong, Executive Chairman of the association. Salem AlShamsi, Executive Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers, signed the second MoU with Diana Dai, Executive President of the UAE Chapter of the GBA Entrepreneurs Alliance.
The agreements reflect a shared commitment to strengthening economic ties between Dubai and China by building on the complementary strengths of both economies. The aim is to increase trade and investment flows and create new opportunities for companies to grow across regional and global markets.
The MoUs set out a practical framework for exchanging knowledge and expertise, encouraging direct communication between companies and exploring new areas of trade and investment cooperation. They also provide dedicated channels for ongoing engagement between Dubai’s private sector and its Chinese counterparts.
Lootah said Dubai Chambers is committed to expanding its network of international partnerships and connecting the city’s business community with promising opportunities abroad. He described institutional agreements as an important foundation for private-sector cooperation.
The MoUs form part of wider efforts by Dubai Chambers to help companies expand their global operations and strengthen their competitiveness.
