The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Arab Federation for Digital Economy to strengthen strategic partnerships and advance an integrated Arab knowledge and digital ecosystem.
The agreement was signed by Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, and Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri, Advisor to the Council of Arab Economic Unity and Chairman of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy. It provides a framework for institutional development, human capital development and cooperation in response to the rapid changes shaping the digital economy.
The partnership reflects the UAE leadership’s vision of a productive, knowledge-based economy driven by national talent, and supports the country’s position as a global hub for knowledge and innovation.
Under the MoU, the two sides will explore joint activities to support institutional development, exchange expertise, expand information networks and develop knowledge programmes. They will also combine capabilities to back nonprofit initiatives and exchange knowledge products such as specialised books and digital publications.
A key area of cooperation is the possible integration of MBRF’s Future Skills Academy, developed with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), with the Federation’s Arab Platform for Education and Training. The parties will also look at content exchange, connected learning pathways and coordinated certifications. The partnership will support specialised Arabic content on the digital economy and future skills through joint publishing.
Bin Huwaireb said MBRF is expanding its network of strategic partnerships to foster knowledge integration and develop world-class talent. Dr. Al-Khouri said a sustainable digital economy depends on continued investment in people, stronger digital skills and broader access to knowledge.
