Dubai's two most internationally connected business institutions have deepened their decade-long alliance, with DMCC and the DIFC Courts signing an expanded Memorandum of Understanding that brings the full suite of DIFC Courts legal services within direct reach of DMCC's global business community.

The renewed agreement gives all 26,000-plus companies registered with DMCC structured access to English common law dispute resolution, internationally recognised judges, and enforceable judgments, covering trade agreements, shareholder arrangements, and investment contracts with counterparties anywhere in the world.

Beyond dispute resolution, the partnership extends into mediation, personal planning, and digital economy readiness. DMCC members can now access the DIFC Courts Mediation Service Centre, launched in 2025, which offers a faster and lower-cost alternative to litigation, with mediated settlements carrying the same legal weight as a court judgment.

The expanded MoU also makes the DIFC Courts Wills Service available to DMCC's international community, enabling non-Muslim residents and business owners to register a Will that protects personal assets, business interests, and dependents in the UAE. A Digital Assets Wills Service, also launched in 2025, extends that protection to cryptocurrency, digital tokens, and blockchain-based holdings.

For DMCC's FinX ecosystem spanning finance, fintech, crypto, and AI, the DIFC Courts Digital Economy Court provides a specialist judicial forum for disputes involving AI-generated contracts, digital asset insolvency, and blockchain evidence.

Under the expanded agreement, both institutions will deliver joint briefings, workshops, and webinars for DMCC member businesses, alongside targeted outreach to the DMCC Wealth Hub and family office communities, and integration of DIFC Courts referral pathways into the DMCC member portal.
